Caair Travel, Connaught Place

Our travel business, even though it says Connaught Place in the name, is actually run from Mahavir Enclave in New Delhi. Sunita Sharma handles things from here at C-3/55, which is right by the DDA Park. It’s a nice change of pace from the hectic center of the city. The park across the street gives us a bit of green to look at, which is nice when you’re stuck looking at flight schedules all day. The office is really just a room in the house that we’ve set up with a couple of desks, a printer that jams occasionally, and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. We have a small sofa for when clients come by to pick up their tickets or talk about their trips. It’s a very informal atmosphere here; you might hear the television from the other room or the sound of someone cooking in the kitchen. We’ve been doing this for a while, so we have a lot of old brochures that are probably out of date piled up in the corner. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks when the mail comes, but otherwise, it’s a pretty calm spot. We don't have a fancy storefront with big glass windows. People usually find us through word of mouth or by calling us up. It’s just a local business being run by real people who live in the neighborhood.
