About British High Commission New Delhi – Tourism in Delhi
We've been at 1/4-A in Jangpura-B for a while now. Most people know the building. It's not a flashy spot, just where the day-to-day work happens. Usually, there's a lot of paperwork to get through. Phones ring, folks come in with questions about travel or documents, and we just try to get them sorted. It gets busy during the middle of the week. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of tea, but that's just how it goes here in New Delhi. The area outside is always moving. We don't have fancy lobbies. Just desks, computers, and a lot of folders. Some of us have been here for years, while others are just passing through. It’s a mix of different faces every day. We don't really do big speeches or anything. It's more about checking the names on the lists and making sure the stamps are ready. Getting things right takes time, so we just stick to the routine. If you're looking for us, we're right there near the local shops. It’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for the number on the gate. We stay until the light goes down, then lock up and head home like everyone else. It's a job that keeps us on our toes without much fuss. We find that the simpler we keep things, the fewer mistakes we make throughout the long afternoon.
