Bristol Hotel

We are situated in Rangpuri, over in the Mahipalpur area. Being so close to the airport means there is always something going on around here. The streets are usually full of cars and people coming and going at all hours of the night. Our building isn't the biggest one on the block but we keep it running. Managing a hotel here is a lot of work. We spend our time checking people in, making sure the rooms are ready, and dealing with whatever plumbing or light bulb issues come up. It is a constant cycle. Some guests are just staying for a few hours between flights and others stay longer. We see a lot of tired faces walking through the door. The lobby is simple and we try to keep it clean. It gets dusty outside because of all the construction and traffic in New Delhi. We have a small staff and we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to helping with bags. It is a practical sort of place. We don't have a big fancy garden or a pool, just rooms for people to sleep in. Every day is a bit different depending on who shows up. We just stay focused on the daily chores and keeping the place in one piece for whoever walks in next. It is hard work but we are used to it.
