You can find us at C-18 in Vijay Nagar, up on the second floor. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, so you have to watch your step when you're coming up. We are a BPO operation, which basically means we sit at computers and handle back-office tasks all day. The room is filled with the sound of clicking keyboards and people chatting quietly. Because we are on the second floor, we get a decent view of the street below, which is usually full of students and street food vendors. It’s a lively area. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some old calendars on the wall and a whiteboard that hasn't been erased in months. The power goes out occasionally, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in so we don't lose our work. We take our breaks in the little balcony area when we need some fresh air. Most of the staff are young and always joking around between tasks. We have a shared kettle for making tea, though it usually needs a good scrub. It’s a simple workplace without any bells or whistles. We just show up, do the data entry or whatever is on the list, and head home. It is a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work somehow. We often order lunch from the dhaba downstairs because it's cheap and close.
