Bon Ton Opticians

Our shop is M 129 in Laxmi Nagar, which is one of the more crowded parts of New Delhi. Being Bon Ton Opticians means we spend our whole day looking at glasses and lenses. The street outside is always packed with people shopping for clothes or food, and the noise never really stops. Inside the shop, we have shelves lined with all sorts of frames, from the simple ones to the modern styles. It is a bit of a tight space, especially when three or four customers are trying on glasses at the same time. We have our testing equipment in the back where it is a little quieter. Most of our work is just helping people find something that fits their face and their budget. We don't have a fancy showroom with expensive lighting; we just have good old-fashioned fluorescent bulbs so people can see what they are buying. The floor is usually a bit scuffed from all the foot traffic, and we are constantly wiping fingerprints off the glass cases. We have been in Laxmi Nagar for a while, and we know the other shopkeepers on the block. It is a busy, gritty, and very real place to work. We don't try to act like we are some high-end boutique; we are just a local optician shop doing our thing every day. It is mostly just us and the glasses.
