I’ve been living and working out of this flat in Shree Radha Apartment for a while now. It’s Flat Number-89, over in Sector-9 of Dwarka. It’s a decent sized place, though the boxes of files and my computer desk take up most of the living room space. I handle various tasks from here, mostly paperwork and making calls throughout the day. Dwarka is a big area, but Plot-3 is in a pretty good spot where things aren’t too noisy. I usually start my day with a cup of tea and look out the window at the other buildings before I get to work. Being based at home means I don't have a commute, which I really appreciate given how the traffic can get around New Delhi. My setup is pretty basic—just a laptop, a printer that jams occasionally, and a comfortable chair. People sometimes wonder how I get anything done in a residential building, but it works for me. I’ve lived in this part of town for years, so I know where all the good tea stalls and stationery shops are. It’s just a one-man operation, really. I don't have a staff or a big office, just my space here in Dwarka where I keep my records and handle my daily business. It’s quiet, it’s practical, and it suits the way I like to work without all the fuss of a corporate office. I spend a lot of time on the phone, so I have to keep my windows shut when the neighbor’s kids are playing outside.
