Blue Bird Leisure & Holidays Limited

We are over here at 30/A /149 on Dr. P.T. Laha Street in Rishra. It’s a part of Hooghly that gets pretty busy during the day, especially with the local traffic and people moving around. Being called Blue Bird Leisure & Holidays Limited sounds like we might have a big glass building, but really we just work out of this space in Bangla. Most of our time is spent on the phone or looking at computer screens trying to figure out trip details for people who want to go somewhere else for a bit. It is not always easy because plans change and things go wrong with flights or hotels, but we just sit here and try to fix it. The office is kind of small and we have a lot of papers everywhere. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that is the highlight of the morning. We have been in this area for a while now, so we know most of the neighbors. It is just a regular job for us, really. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a lobby with a fountain. If you walk down the street, you might even miss the door if you aren't looking closely for the number 149. We just keep at it every day, making sure the bookings are done and the names are spelled right on the tickets. It is a lot of checking and double-checking, but that is how it goes when you're running a small place like this in West Bengal.
