Big Cinemas, Adlabs Films Ltd.

We are over at B-28 in the Gangotri Enclave part of Alaknanda. If you know New Delhi, you know how busy these residential spots can get. Big Cinemas has been tucked away here for a good while under the Adlabs Films Ltd. name. It’s mostly just us keeping the projectors running and making sure the floors aren’t too sticky after the kids leave. The office side of things happens right here too. You walk in and it smells like that theater popcorn, which is a smell you never really get out of your clothes. The enclave is usually pretty quiet during the day but once the evening shows start, the whole street changes. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual stuff like ticket stubs and broken armrests. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t have those fancy glass walls you see in the big malls. It’s more of a local feel where people know the staff by sight. Sometimes the power acts up or the air conditioning needs a kick, but we manage. My chair squeaks every time I move, and there’s a stack of old film posters in the corner that we haven't touched in months. It’s just how it goes in a place like this. We are just a group of people making sure the movies play on time and the gates open when they should. It’s not glamorous work but it keeps us busy every single day of the week.
