Bhatia Trading Co

Bhatia Trading Co is located right in the middle of everything at Paharganj Chuna Mandi 2747/6. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how narrow the lanes are and how much is going on at once. We’ve been operating out of this same building for years. It’s a bit cramped with all the boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We mostly deal with wholesale stuff, so there’s always a lot of loading and unloading happening out front. It can get pretty chaotic when the rickshaws and delivery carts are all trying to squeeze through at the same time. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our space is just storage for the goods we move. People come in with their lists, and we pull what they need from the back. It’s a lot of paperwork and counting things out. My uncle used to run the place, and now I’m here most days with a couple of helpers. We know the regulars by name and what they usually want before they even ask. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop for that. Lunch is usually eaten quickly at the desk between customers. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. Chuna Mandi has a specific smell of old buildings and dust, and we’re just part of that landscape now. It's just a regular trading shop.
