Bharat Aviation is actually based over here in Kolkata, even though the name says Delhi. We are at 27/1H M.N. Sen Lane, near the Post-Regent Park area. It’s a bit of a quiet corner compared to the city center. The office is in an old building that has a lot of character, which is a polite way of saying the walls could use some fresh paint. We work on things related to the aviation industry from here. It involves a lot of coordination and phone calls to different parts of the country. India is a big place, and keeping track of everything is a full-time job. We have a small team, and we’ve all been together for quite some time. The lane outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone who visits. We usually just take the bus or walk. Inside, it’s mostly just desks covered in maps and manuals. We don't have any big fancy signs or a reception desk with a uniform. It’s just us in our regular clothes, drinking chai and making sure the paperwork is in order. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the street outside flood a bit, but we just put on our boots and keep coming in. It’s a steady kind of life, focused on the details of the flight industry without any extra fluff. We find that being tucked away in this part of town lets us actually get things done.
