Beecham Press is located at M 6 in Connaught Place. It’s right in the middle of everything. We’ve been here since the days when things were a lot quieter in the city. The machines make a lot of noise, but we are used to it. We do printing for whoever needs it—cards, papers, whatever comes across the desk. The office isn't very large, and it’s filled with the smell of ink and stacks of paper. It feels like a bit of a maze sometimes with all the boxes around. We have a couple of old desks and a computer that’s a bit slow, but it works for what we need. People walk in from the main road all the time just asking for directions or wanting something printed quickly. We try to help out when we can. Working in CP means there’s always something going on outside, protests or shoppers or just tourists looking lost. We stay inside and focus on the machines. It’s a bit dark in the back where the heavy printers are. We don’t really change much around here. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time. It’s a busy little spot and we’ve been at it for decades. Just a local press doing its thing. Sometimes the ink gets on our hands and stays there for days. We don't use fancy gloves or anything. It's just part of the job.
