Bata Asa Store Manager

This shop is at P-30 Sriniwaspuri. I spend most of my day here as the Bata Asa Store Manager. It’s a straightforward job, mostly just making sure the boxes are stacked right and the floor is clean before the first customer walks in. Sriniwaspuri is a good neighborhood, and we see a lot of the same faces coming in week after week. We keep the shoes organized by size so it's easier to find what someone needs. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to stay a bit longer to unload everything into the back room. The light in the back room flickers sometimes, I keep meaning to fix it but never get around to it. We have a small wooden bench for people to sit on while they try things on. It’s not a massive showroom, just a regular local store. I’ve been working here for quite a while now. You get used to the routine of opening up in the morning and closing the heavy shutters at night. People ask for different things, and we just check the stock we have. If it's not there, it's not there. We try to keep things honest with the people who come in. The neighborhood kids sometimes run past the front door making noise. It’s just a normal part of life here at P-30. We have a fan that makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the air moving during the summer. It’s a simple setup for a simple business.
