Basant Communication

Basant Communication is right here in Rohini, at G-30/381-382. It’s a corner spot, so we get a decent amount of foot traffic. I’ve been here for a few years now. The shop is basically my second home. I arrive early to sweep the floor and set up the display. Rohini is a massive place, but our block feels like its own little village. Everyone knows everyone. I mostly deal with smartphone repairs and selling accessories. I have a lot of different cases, some colorful, some plain. People are very picky about their phone covers. I spend a lot of time explaining data plans to people who find the apps confusing. It’s a lot of talking. Sometimes my throat gets dry by the end of the shift. The lighting in the shop is a bit bright, but I need it to see the small parts inside the phones. We have a small bench outside where people wait if the shop is full. It’s usually just me here. I handle the sales and the technical side too. It gets busy during the festivals when everyone wants a new phone or a fancy gadget. I try to keep the stock updated, but it’s hard with how fast technology changes. I just focus on what the local people need. It’s a steady life. No complaints really. I'll probably be here for a long time yet. It keeps me going and pays the bills.
