Our office is tucked away at House No- 101, Sector- 1 in R.K.Puram. It’s a pretty standard Delhi neighborhood, and we’ve been running Banyan Tours & Travels from here for quite some time. It’s not one of those big glassy buildings you see in Gurgaon; it’s a more traditional setup where we actually know the neighbors. Every day we come in and start looking at travel itineraries and trying to help people figure out their next trip. We deal with a lot of phone calls from people who are confused about their visas or just want to find a quiet place for a weekend. The space here is full of old folders and posters of places we’ve sent people to over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone with airlines or hotels, sometimes waiting on hold for longer than we’d like. It’s just the nature of the travel business in New Delhi. We drink way too much tea during the day while we try to coordinate things. R.K.Puram is a busy area, but our little corner is usually alright. We just try to give people the straight facts about where they are going and what it will cost. There’s no big sales pitch here, just a lot of practical planning and trying to make sure everything goes as it should. It’s just a normal office doing normal work, trying to make travel a bit easier for everyone who calls us.
