We are located at 1020 in the Janta Flats of GTB Enclave, which is over in Dilshad Garden, Delhi. This is an older part of the city and it has a very settled feel to it. Balmerlawrie&Co.Ltd. has been around for a long time, but here at this address, it feels like a very local operation. The Janta flats are simple and the neighborhood is full of families and people who have lived here for decades. Our office is not a high-rise glass building. It is just a straightforward place where we come to work every morning. We know the security guards and the people at the nearby shops by name. The commute can be a bit long depending on the metro, but we are used to the rhythm of Dilshad Garden. Inside, it is mostly just desks and paper and people talking on phones. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just handle the logistical stuff and the paperwork that comes our way. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy and the paint is peeling in the corners, but it works for us. We are a practical bunch of people just trying to do our jobs well and go home to our families. It is a quiet, honest way to spend the work week in this part of Delhi. We usually have lunch together and talk about what’s going on in the flats or who is moving in downstairs.
