You can find Balmerlawrie&Co Ltd over at G-57 in Shakarpur. We are tucked in near Aruna Park in New Delhi. It is a very busy neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes and people moving about. Our building is an older one, and you can tell by the way the doors creak when you open them. We deal with a lot of logistics and office work here. There are always boxes and files moving in and out of the rooms. The air outside is often full of the sounds of the local market and traffic. We have a few desks pushed together and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. It is a very local feel. We know the guy who sells tea at the corner and the people in the shops next door. Sometimes it is hard to find the place if you do not know the landmarks, so we tell people to look for the park. We spend our time checking through lists and making sure shipments or travel plans are moving along. It is not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or big glass walls. It is more of a place where people actually roll up their sleeves and get things done. We have a calendar on the wall that we mark off every day. Some days are long, especially when there is a lot of paperwork to finish before we leave. We just keep at it.
