Working over here at Balmer Lawrie (I) Ltd. in Laxmi Bai Nagar is pretty much what you’d expect from a place that’s been around the block. Our office at number 669 is usually buzzing with people on the phones or shuffling papers. If you try to call 011-26880678, you might hear a few of us talking in the background. It’s a New Delhi office through and through. We deal with a lot of different things throughout the day, and sometimes the mobile at 9873589526 doesn't stop ringing. It gets a bit hectic. We aren’t big on fancy titles or polished presentations here. Most of us just show up, grab a tea, and get to work on whatever is piled on the desk. The building has that lived-in feel, and the neighborhood is familiar to everyone who works here. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit moody, or the printer jams right when we need it most, but we manage. It’s about getting the tasks done and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. We’ve got a mix of younger staff and people who have been here since before I can remember. We don’t really do the whole marketing talk thing. We just focus on the logistics and the daily grind that keeps the wheels turning for the company. It’s just how we operate in this part of town, keeping things moving every single day without any fuss.
