You can find us at 5 Lal Bahadur Sadan, right in the Gole Market area of New Delhi. It’s an old part of the city, and the building reflects that history. Avishkar Tours & Travels has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. Gole Market is always buzzing with people, so there is never a dull moment outside our door. Inside, we have walls covered with maps and old calendars. We have a few desks where we sit and plan out trips for people. It’s not a high-tech office. We still use a lot of paper and keep physical files of all the bookings. The air is often filled with the smell of street food from the vendors nearby. We take turns going out to get tea for the office in the afternoons. It’s a small team here, just a handful of us who really know the travel business. We don't have a uniform or a formal way of doing things. We just talk to people and help them figure out their travel plans. The 110 001 area is very central, which makes it easy for clients to drop by, though parking is always a bit of a struggle. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our little corner in Lal Bahadur Sadan stays pretty much the same. We enjoy the work because every day someone is going somewhere new. It keeps things interesting for us even when we are just sitting at our desks.
