Avis Car Rentals

We’ve been operating Avis Car Rentals out of Laxmi Nagar for a while now, specifically over in J & K Block at Hitesh Gupta’s place. It’s a busy neighborhood and finding parking for the cars is always a bit of a headache. Most mornings start with us checking the oil and making sure the insides of the vehicles aren't full of crumbs from the last person who had them. We get all kinds of people coming through Delhi needing a ride, from families to businessmen who are in a huge rush. The traffic around here is usually quite a mess, so we spend a lot of time explaining the best routes to take. We keep our keys organized on a board in the small office area, and there's always a bit of a paper trail with the IDs and rental forms. It’s not the most exciting work, but cars need to be maintained and people need to get where they’re going. Sometimes a car comes back with a flat tire or a scratch we didn’t see before, and that’s always a long conversation. We just try to keep the fleet in decent shape so nobody gets stuck on the side of the road. It’s practical work. We’re just here in house 167-A, dealing with the daily grind of rentals and keeping the engines running as best we can.
