Our office is tucked away in Lodhi Colony, at number 9/778. This part of New Delhi has those old, thick walls and lots of trees. It is a nice enough place to spend the day. We are not a massive operation here. It is just a few of us handling the paperwork and answering questions for people who are planning trips. Mostly, it is about checking passports and making sure flight details are correct in the system. The building has that old Delhi feel to it, which means it is a bit drafty sometimes. We have some maps on the wall and a few old computers that have seen better days. We do not have a lot of walk-in traffic, but when someone does come by, we usually have a bit of a chat. It is not very formal. We do not wear suits every day unless there is a big reason for it. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the phones do not stop ringing and other times it is completely silent. We handle the bookings and the cancellations without any fuss. It is just a small slice of the airline business right here in the colony. We do not have any big mission statements or posters about being the best. We just make sure the tickets are issued and the dates are right. It is simple, steady work in a quiet neighborhood. We keep the tea kettle hot.
