At&T Inc

Down here in Bangalore, we handle a lot of the technical side of things for At&T Inc. The office is usually humming with the sound of computers and people talking on headsets. It’s a big city, and the pace is fast, which reflects in how we work every day. We don't spend much time on fancy speeches; we just focus on the connectivity and making sure the systems stay up. Sometimes things break, and we have to scramble to fix them, which can be pretty stressful. Most of us have been working in this industry for a long time, so we’ve seen how much things have changed with the internet and phones. The Bangalore weather is usually okay, but the commute to the office can be a real nightmare with the traffic. We just deal with it like everyone else does. Inside, it’s a mix of different departments all trying to coordinate. We have a lot of coffee and spend a lot of time in front of monitors. It’s not always exciting work, but it’s necessary for keeping everything running. We don’t really have a public-facing storefront here; it’s more about the back-end support and making sure the network stays strong. We just come in, do our shifts, and head home. It’s a straightforward job that requires a lot of attention to detail and a lot of patience when the tech acts up. We just keep our heads down and work.
