Assistant Manager

I work out of an office in Sector 6, Dwarka, right here in New Delhi. The address is 31A, which is easy enough to find if you know the sector layout. It’s a typical Delhi office block—lots of concrete, some dusty plants in the hallway, and the constant sound of traffic and horns outside. I’ve been in this role for a while now, handling the day-to-day things that come across the desk for Assistant Manager. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and pays the bills. My workspace is usually a bit of a mess with folders, files, and yellow sticky notes everywhere. I tried to organize it once or twice, but it never seems to last more than two days. The air conditioner hums quite loudly, which actually helps drown out the noise from the street. People come and go throughout the day, mostly just delivery guys or people stopping by for a quick word about a project. I don’t have a big team or a fancy title that means much to anyone outside these four walls. It’s just about getting the tasks done and making sure everything stays on track. Lunch is usually something quick from one of the stalls nearby. The light in the office is a bit dim in the late afternoons, but I have a small desk lamp that works well enough. There isn't much to talk about besides the usual office routine.
