Ashok Gupta

My name is Ashok Gupta and I run things here at Anand Parbat, Street Number 10, HR-8. It’s an industrial and residential mix around here, so things are always a bit dusty and loud. This spot has been my workplace for quite some time now. Mostly I just handle the daily paperwork and deal with the people who come by the shop. It’s not a corporate office or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and whatever stock we are currently holding. Anand Parbat has its own pace, and you have to get used to the narrow streets and the constant movement. Usually I get in early to start the day before it gets too hot. The work involves a lot of talking to suppliers and making sure we have what people are looking for. There’s no big team here, just me and a couple of others helping out when it gets busy. A fancy website or a marketing person is something we don't have. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them where Street Number 10 is. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking lists and making sure the bills are paid. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s just a normal way to run a small business in this part of town. Moving anywhere else isn't in the plans. It's a steady life and the daily routine of this neighborhood is what I know. We just do the work as it comes.
