Ashok Group Of Hotels

Working at the Hotel Ashok here in New Delhi means there is never really a quiet moment. The building itself is quite large and takes a lot of looking after. Every morning starts with a handover from the night shift to see what happened while most of the city was sleeping. We spend a lot of our time walking the halls and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever is arriving next. It’s a lot of physical work that people don't always see, like lugging linens and checking on the kitchen supplies. The lobby is always full of people from all over, some looking tired from flights and others just here for meetings. We try to keep everything running smoothly, but with a place this size, there's always something that needs fixing or a guest who needs something extra. The gardens outside need constant watering in this heat, and the staff is always on the move. It’s an old place with a lot of history in these walls, and you can feel it when you walk through the basement or the back offices. We aren't flashy people, just the ones who make sure the lights stay on and the beds are made. It's a job that keeps us on our feet from start to finish. We see a lot of different things happening here every day, from big events to quiet travelers. It’s just our daily life in the middle of the city.
