As Implant Trainee In Engine Overhaul Department In Air India

We are located over in Janak Puri, specifically at D2A 99D. It is a busy part of New Delhi and we spend a lot of our time dealing with the engine overhaul department stuff for Air India. As trainees, we are mostly focused on learning how these big engines work and what it takes to get them back in the air. The work is pretty hands-on and can get a bit greasy sometimes. We have been here for a while now, just getting through the daily tasks and trying to understand the mechanical side of things. It is not always easy because the parts are huge and there is so much to remember. Sometimes the weather in Delhi makes the workshop feel quite hot, but we just keep going. People often ask what we do here and it is basically just making sure everything is ready for the next step in the overhaul process. We walk down the streets of Janak Puri to get lunch or just to take a break from the noise of the tools. It is a straightforward kind of life here. No one is trying to be fancy. We just show up, do the work on the engines, and try to pick up as much as we can from the seniors who have been doing this for years. It is a long process to learn it all properly. We are just getting by and doing the work as it comes.
