As A Nurse In A Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute

We are based over in I-Block at House No-699 in Jahangir Puri. It’s a crowded neighborhood and everyone lives pretty close together here. This is where we coordinate things for the nursing work we do over at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute. It’s not a clinic or a hospital here, just a house where we keep our schedules and manage our shifts. Most of us are out at the institute for long hours, so the house is often quiet during the day. When we are here, we’re usually resting or trying to sort out the paperwork that comes with the job. It’s a very basic setup. There are uniforms hanging up and medical books on the shelves. We don't have a front desk or any staff to help visitors. It’s just a regular home in Delhi-33. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. People around here know what we do. It’s hard work, and we don't try to dress it up. We deal with a lot of serious stuff every day, so when we’re back at the house, we just want things to be simple. There's no fancy office furniture, just what we need to stay organized for our next shift. It’s a practical home base for people who spend their lives helping others in the hospital. We just keep our heads down and do the work that is needed for our patients.
