I work out of an office at A-1 Nathu Colony Chowk. It’s situated right on Mandoli Road in the Shahdra area. The name on my card is As A Advisor In Icici Prudential Ltd. It’s a bit of a long and formal name for such a small setup, but it’s accurate. Being in Delhi 110093 means I see a lot of local people passing by every day. I sit at my desk and look over various papers and talk to whoever happens to walk in. The chowk is always noisy with cars and auto-rickshaws going by at all hours. It’s a practical place to be for this kind of work. I don’t have a big staff or any assistants. It’s mostly just me and the files I keep organized. People come in to talk about their future plans and what they need to do with their savings. I try to explain things in a way that makes sense to them. The office isn't very fancy at all. It has some basic furniture and a computer that acts up every now and then. Shahdra is a crowded place to live and work, but it has everything you need close by. I’ve been at this specific spot for a while now. Sometimes I have to go out and meet people at their houses, but this is where I start and end my day. It’s a very straight-up job. I don't use big fancy words or try to act like I'm in a corporate glass tower.
