Arya Telecom

The Syndicat Market in Palam Colony is always packed, and we are right in the middle of it at number 19. Arya Telecom is a small shop, but we see a lot of faces throughout the day. People come in mostly for phone recharges or to fix a screen that they dropped while rushing to catch the bus. The counter is usually covered with different charging cables and some old phone boxes. It gets pretty hot in here during the afternoon because the sun hits the front glass directly, but the fan helps a little. We spend a lot of time just talking to the regular customers who live nearby. Palam is a busy area, so there is never a quiet moment outside on the street. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there in the dark waiting for it to come back, talking to whoever is in the shop. It is not a very big operation. It is just a few of us making sure people can stay connected. We don't have any fancy displays or a big staff. It is just a local shop in a local market. You get to know everyone's name after a while. Most of our day is spent looking at small parts or trying to explain why a battery isn't working right. It is a simple life here at the market, and we are quite used to the noise and the crowd.
