Arjun Dev Telecom & Mobile Reparing

Our shop is tucked into Krishna Market on Ganga Toli Road 1, right in Pooth Khurd. If you walk down the road, you’ll see our sign for Arjun Dev Telecom & Mobile Reparing. It’s not a very big space, but we manage to fit everything we need in here. Most of the day is spent hunched over a desk with a soldering iron or a tiny screwdriver. Phones these days are fragile, so we see a lot of smashed glass and buttons that don't click anymore. We also do recharges and sell some basic cables and things that people in the market often need. The market gets really crowded in the evenings, which is usually when we are the busiest. It can get a bit hectic with three or four people waiting at the counter all at once. We don't use any high-tech systems for tracking things, just a notebook where we write down what needs to be fixed and who it belongs to. Sometimes we run out of a specific part and have to wait a day or two for it to arrive. We just tell people straight how long it will take. It’s a simple way of working. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or other shopkeepers from the market. We just try to get the phones back to them so they can get on with their day. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy enough.
