Out here in the Bawana Industrial Area, things are a bit different than the city markets. Our shop, G/32 in Sector 3, Pocket F, caters mostly to the people working in the factories around here. It’s a busy place with a lot of dust and noise from the heavy machinery nearby. Ankit set this up because he saw that workers had nowhere to go when their phones got damaged on the job. We see a lot of smashed screens and phones that have been dropped on concrete floors. We keep a good stock of tempered glass because that's what everyone needs. The shop isn't big, but we have a solid workbench in the back where the soldering happens. We don't use fancy technical words to confuse people. We just tell them if the motherboard is dead or if it’s just a loose wire. Lunch is usually a quick affair from one of the local dhabas. We stay open late because many of our customers don't finish their shifts until seven or eight in the evening. It’s a long day, and the commute back home can be tiring, but seeing someone's face light up when their phone finally turns on again makes it worth it. We don't have any corporate rules. We just treat people like we want to be treated ourselves while we work in this industrial pocket.
