Ananda In The Himilayas(Rishikesh)

Even though the name says Rishikesh, this specific office for Ananda In The Himilayas is actually located at 43/8 Double Storey in Govindpuri, Modinagar. It’s a bit far from the mountains, sitting in a regular residential street. This is where the administrative side of things for the resort gets handled. The building is a typical double-storey house that’s been converted into a workspace. It’s not fancy or decorated like a spa. We have files, computers, and a lot of registers that keep us busy. Modinagar is a busy industrial town, so the vibe is quite different from a peaceful retreat. There’s a lot of noise from the street and the local market is just a short walk away. We spend the day taking bookings or answering questions from guests who want to visit the Himalayas. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and typing on keyboards. We take our lunch breaks together and usually talk about things other than work. The office can get quite hot in the summer, but we have some fans that keep us going. It’s a basic setup that does the job. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other well. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place where we just focus on our daily list of tasks. We keep some extra chairs in the corner for when visitors stop by to drop off papers or just to say hello.
