Anand Niketan Club

Anand Niketan Club is right in the middle of Anand Niketan. It’s more of a community hangout than a professional club. We’ve got some basic facilities, a few rooms for meetings, and a place where people can sit and talk. The building is a bit older, so we spend a lot of our budget just on maintenance. The roof leaked last monsoon, and we spent weeks getting it patched up. It’s not a place with a lot of rules or a fancy dress code. We know most of the members by their first names. Our day usually starts with checking the grounds and making sure the chairs are arranged properly in the common area. We don’t have a marketing department. We just put up notices on the board near the entrance. The staff is small, mostly just local people who have been with us for years. It’s quiet in the mornings, which is nice. We spend that time doing paperwork or talking to the gardener. In the evenings, more people show up and it gets a bit livelier. We don't have a big vision for the future. We just want to keep the place running so the neighbors have somewhere to go. It’s a lot of mundane tasks, like checking the lightbulbs and making sure there’s enough water in the coolers. It’s just a simple neighborhood club that has been part of the area for a long time.
