Working out of Hari Singh Nalwa Street in Karol Bagh means it is always noisy and crowded outside. Our shop at 66/2247 is right in the middle of all that action. It is an old building, but it works for what we do. We deal with auto parts and things like that every single day. Most of the time, the floor is a bit greasy because that is just how it goes in this business. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling filled with different components. Finding the right part sometimes takes a few minutes because we have so much stuff crammed in here. We know most of the other shop owners on the street, and we often have tea together when things slow down in the afternoon. It is a tough area to park in, so most people just walk up to the counter. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with a TV. You just come in, tell us what you are looking for, and we see if it is in the back. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the whole street, and we have to help move boxes quickly. It is just the way life is here. We have been at this spot for years and don't plan on moving anywhere else. Karol Bagh is where everything happens for cars, so we fit right in. There is no air conditioning, but we have a big fan.
