Amit Travels

We are based at G 11 in Chanakya Puri. We’re right near the Indoneia Embassy, which is usually the best way to explain where we are to people. Chanakya Puri is a nice, green part of New Delhi, and it’s much quieter than most other places in the city. Amit Travels has been running from this spot for many years. It is a small office, but it works for what we need. We handle travel bookings, car rentals, and other things like that. Most of our day is spent on the telephone or looking at routes on our computers. We have maps and old brochures tucked away in various corners. It’s not a polished agency with bright lights and fancy posters. It is just us in a comfortable room. A lot of the drivers we work with drop by for a quick chat or to pick up their paperwork for the next job. The atmosphere is generally quite relaxed. Sometimes we get a lot of walk-ins, and other times it is just the few of us. We drink quite a bit of tea throughout the day to keep going. The building is kept in good shape, and being near the embassy makes the whole area feel very orderly. We aren't trying to sell anyone a dream. We just want to help people get where they need to go without any trouble. It’s what we do every single day here.
