Amit Telecom

People know us as Amit Telecom over here in Mayur Vihar Phase III. The shop is at 118A/A-2. It’s not a big place, just a regular counter where we sit and help people with their phones. Most days start around ten in the morning when the shutters go up. We see a lot of folks coming in because their screen cracked or they need a quick recharge for their talk time. It gets a bit dusty being near the road but we keep things moving. We have been in this spot for a good while now and most of the neighbors stop by just to say hello even if they don't need anything fixed. Sometimes we have a lot of work piled up on the back table with wires and screwdrivers everywhere. It’s just me and a couple of others usually. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just some glass cases with basic covers and cables. If the fan is making noise, we just give it a tap. That's how it goes here. We handle the basic stuff that people need for their mobile phones every day. Mayur Vihar is a busy area so there is always someone walking by. We just try to get the jobs done so people can get back to their day. It is simple work but it keeps us occupied from morning until we close up late at night. There is no big secret to what we do, it is just about being there when someone's phone stops working right.
