Our branch is located in Mehrauli at 239/2, which is an area full of history and old buildings. It’s a bit of a different vibe than the big glass offices American Express has in other parts of the world. Here, we are right in the thick of a traditional Delhi neighborhood. The office is a practical space where we handle a lot of the back-end stuff and customer queries that come through. It’s not a very large place, so you’ll see desks close together and a lot of paper files being moved around. The commute here can be a bit of a challenge because of the narrow streets and the traffic near the monuments, but the team is used to it. We have a small pantry where we all gather for lunch, usually sharing food from home. The lighting inside is a bit bright, and it can get noisy when everyone is on the phone at the same time. We don't have a fancy reception area, just a desk near the entrance where people can check in. Most of the work involves checking details and making sure everything is correct for the accounts we manage. It is a busy, functional office where the focus is just on getting through the daily pile of work. We’ve been at this Mehrauli spot for a while, and it has become our second home, despite the small quirks of the building.
