American Express

We are based out of 20/224 Dda Flats in South Niketan. It’s an interesting spot for an office like American Express, tucked away in a residential complex in New Delhi-110062. Most people expect us to be in a big downtown tower, but this is where we handle things. It’s a standard DDA flat setup, converted to fit our desks and equipment. The neighbors are mostly families, so you see kids playing outside and people walking their dogs while we are inside working on accounts. It gives the job a very different feel than being in a business park. We have been here in India for quite a while. The office is small and functional. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine that does twenty different things. Just a regular workplace where we keep track of numbers and talk to customers. Sometimes the mail gets a bit mixed up with the residential letters, but we've sorted that out over time. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but it's a peaceful area. We like the local vibe of South Niketan. It keeps us grounded. Working from a flat means we have to be mindful of the space, so we keep things pretty tidy. There’s a small balcony where we sometimes go to get some air. It’s just us, doing the daily grind in a quiet corner of the city. We don't need much more than our desks and a good connection.
