We work out of H-32, W-10C Lane in New Delhi, right near the border with Haryana. It’s a bit of a maze getting back here if you don’t know the turns. The area is a mix of different types of buildings. Some are offices and some look like they’ve been there for decades. We have our space set up with the usual office gear. Computers, phones, and a lot of paper. It’s a busy place because there’s always something to do with accounts or customer stuff. People often think a big name like American Express would be in a giant glass tower, but this is where we are. The lane can get tight when people park their cars on both sides. In the summer, the heat in Delhi is no joke, so we appreciate the air conditioning when it’s working right. We have a small area where we eat our lunch and talk about what’s on TV or the news. The work is mostly about staying organized and making sure the details are correct. We’ve got people who have been working in this lane for years. It’s a regular job for regular people. We don’t have fancy lunchrooms or anything like that. Just a place to do the work and get it done. It’s practical and keeps us busy from Monday to Friday. Sometimes we stay late if there’s a lot to catch up on.
