Our small office is located right in the 36-A block of the L.I.G. D.D.A. Flats in Motia Khan. If you know the Pahar Ganj area, you know it’s a crowded and lively part of New Delhi. We’ve been set up here for a while, dealing with all the usual things you’d expect from an American Express branch. It’s not a big glass building like you see in the movies; it’s a regular flat converted into a workspace. We spend our days handling accounts, checking details, and talking to people who come by with questions about their cards or travel plans. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, and the parking outside is always a bit of a headache, but we make it work. Most of us living nearby just walk or take a rickshaw to get here. We keep our files organized as much as possible, though the desk gets cluttered with tea cups and papers by the afternoon. It’s a very local feel for a big name company. People around here know us as the place to go when they have a specific issue they can't solve over the phone. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just sit at our computers, take the calls, and try to get the tasks done before the day ends. It is just a normal office job in a busy part of town.
