Our office is located at B-3A / 70A in Janakpuri, New Delhi-110058. It is a decent-sized space in a well-known residential and commercial block. Being part of American Express India, we have a lot of daily tasks related to finance and customer accounts. The office routine is pretty set. We arrive in the morning, get our tea or coffee, and start going through the stacks of work on our desks. Janakpuri is a nice area with plenty of shops and parks around, so it does not feel too claustrophobic. We do not have any grand statements to make about what we do. It is just clerical and administrative work that needs to be done accurately. The office has a few partitions and some standard chairs. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people about their accounts or helping them with transaction issues. It can be tiring, especially toward the end of the month when things pile up. We try to keep a friendly atmosphere among the staff since we are all in it together. It is not a high-pressure sales environment, just a place where we process information and keep the records straight. Most of us take the metro to get here since the station is not too far away. It is just a regular workplace like any other in the city where we do our part.
