Our spot is at K-99 on Kali Bari Marg. It’s a well-known area in New Delhi-110001, fairly central but it still feels a little bit tucked away from the heaviest city traffic. The building is older and has that very solid, heavy feel to it when you walk through the doors. Working here means seeing a whole lot of different faces every single day. There’s always a bit of a long process for everything, from getting through the security gates to finally sorting out the paperwork inside the office. We don’t really do anything flashy or complicated. It’s mostly about processing stacks of forms and answering the same set of questions over and over again. The big trees outside provide some nice shade, which is a relief during the brutal summer months. Inside, it’s mostly just plain offices with piles of files and the constant sound of people typing away. We’ve got a small, dedicated crew that keeps things running behind the scenes. It isn't exactly exciting work, but it’s stuff that needs to be done. We see people when they are often a bit stressed or worried about their documents, so we just try to be direct and get through the pile as fast as we can. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the rest of the busy city center. We’ve been here long enough that the local tea sellers nearby recognize us. It’s just a regular workplace doing its job day in and day out.
