American Embassy

Being over here in C-5 Defence Colony is a bit different than the main office. This spot in New Delhi is where some of us spend our days. It’s a residential area mostly, so it is quieter than the city center. We handle things here at the American Embassy office on the first floor. It isn't a massive building with a lot of flags, just a regular space in the colony. We go about our business without much fuss. Usually, the morning starts with checking emails and seeing what the day looks like. There is a small park nearby where some of us eat lunch when the weather isn't too hot. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait for the backup to kick in. It’s a small group of us working here. We have got desks, some filing cabinets, and a coffee machine that works most of the time. People think everything here is very formal, but we are just regular folks trying to get the paperwork sorted. The street outside can get a bit crowded with parked cars during the day. It is just a practical setup for the tasks we have. We don't really do anything flashy. If you are walking around Defence Colony, you might walk right past us without noticing. It is just a steady workplace for the staff here in Delhi. We keep to ourselves and get the job done. It's a simple office, but it works for what we need.
