American Airlines

The American Airlines office is located at 149 Block 10, Type 3 in Lodhi Colony. This is a very specific part of New Delhi, full of those old government-style flats and wide, tree-lined streets. Our place is on the ground level, and it has that classic look of the 110003 area with the high ceilings and thick walls. It’s quite different from a modern glass office building. Inside, we have stacks of papers and old-fashioned desks. The fans on the ceiling spin around all day, moving the air while we work on our computers. It is usually pretty quiet around here, except for the birds in the trees or the occasional vegetable seller shouting on the street. We handle a lot of logistics and paperwork that most people never see. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, and sometimes we have to wait for the phone to ring with updates from the airport or other offices. We have a small area in the back where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for our afternoon break. It doesn't feel like a big international company when you are sitting here in Lodhi Colony; it feels more like a small local operation where everyone knows each other’s names. We just keep track of the schedules and make sure the files are kept in order. It is a steady routine that fits the quiet atmosphere of the neighborhood.
