American Airlines

People think of big planes when they hear the name, but our little corner for American Airlines is actually located in House No 19 on Dabri Palam Road. We are up on the second floor of Street Number 1. It’s a pretty standard New Delhi neighborhood, 110045. It's funny because it's just a regular building, not a shiny terminal. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff here. There’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls that go into keeping things moving. We’ve got a few desks and some old chairs. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but the fans keep us going. Most of us take the bus or ride our bikes to get here. It’s a very local feel for such a big name. We don't have any fancy signs out front. Just a place to work. We spend our mornings checking lists and our afternoons catching up on emails from the other side of the world. It’s a weird shift sometimes because of the time differences. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked by a delivery truck or a wedding procession, and we just have to wait it out. It's just the way things are in this part of town. We are just a small group of people doing our bit to make sure everything stays on track. Nothing too complicated about it, really. It is what it is.
