You can find Amar Telecom over in Harkesh Nagar, right in the Okhla Industrial Area Phase II at G 5. Being in an industrial zone means we get a lot of workers coming in. Their phones take a beating. Lots of cracked glass and dust inside the charging ports. I’ve seen it all. The shop is in a busy lane. There’s always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. It’s not a quiet place to work, but you get used to it. I started this because I was always good at taking things apart. Now I get paid to put them back together. I keep a lot of spare batteries in stock. People here need their phones to stay charged for long shifts. The counter is a bit scratched up from all the tools I use. I have a small radio that plays the news while I work. It’s just me and one helper who does the deliveries. We aren't a big corporation. We are just a local shop trying to help the people working in Okhla. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but that’s just how it is. I try to keep the prices fair. These guys work hard for their money. If I can fix a phone instead of them buying a new one, I do it. That's the way I like to work.
