Our place is at 206 in the Aravali Apartments over in Alaknanda. It’s a nice enough spot, quiet compared to the main roads of Delhi. Since we’re in an apartment building, it feels more like a home office than anything else. We have a few rooms set up with desks and computers, and there’s always someone coming in or out. The neighbors are used to us by now. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything like that. People usually find us because someone told them where we are. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us who have been doing this for a while. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or looking through files. Sometimes the balcony is the best place to take a call just to get a bit of fresh air and look at the trees in the complex. It’s not a high-pressure environment with people in suits. We usually just wear what’s comfortable and focus on getting the work done right. If there’s a problem, we sit down and talk it through until it’s fixed. We appreciate the quietness of Alaknanda; it lets us focus. There’s a sense of routine here that we all like. We get in, do the work, have our lunch, and keep things moving. It’s a practical way to run a business without all the unnecessary stress of a big city office.
