Al Hind Tours & Travel operates out of House No: 772/7 in Govind Puri. Being in Kalkaji, New Delhi-19, means we are surrounded by a lot of neighbors and local life. It isn't a big glass building. It’s a house that we’ve turned into our workspace. We have phones ringing all the time with people asking about trips and tickets. Sometimes it feels a bit chaotic, but we manage to get through the list. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just have maps and a lot of notes stuck to the monitors. The street outside is usually full of kids playing or people walking to the market. We sit at our desks and try to find the best ways for people to travel. It’s a very human way to work. We talk to our customers like they are our neighbors because many of them actually are. If the internet goes down, we just wait and maybe have a chat until it comes back. We don't have fancy uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. Working in Govind Puri means you are part of the community. We aren't some distant company; we are right here in the house near the corner. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do. We just keep the files moving and the travel plans going for everyone who stops by the office.
