Akbar Travels

We are based out of Cheriyil House in Ezhuvathiruthy, which is in the Ponnani area of Malappuram. It’s a nice part of Kerala, a bit quieter than the big cities, which suits us just fine. We handle travel stuff for people around here. Whether someone needs a bus ticket or a flight, they usually come by and talk to us. We’ve been in this house for quite a while, so most of the locals know where to find us. It’s not a fancy glass-fronted shop. It’s just a room with some chairs and a couple of computers where we look up schedules and prices. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and chat with whoever is in the office until it comes back on. That’s just how life is here. We don't have any big marketing slogans or anything like that. We just help people get where they need to go. The neighborhood is friendly, and we often see the same faces every week. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it works for us. We don't try to be anything we're not. We’re just local people helping other local people with their travel plans. If you're ever in Ponnani and need a hand with a trip, you can just walk in. We might be busy, but we’ll get to you eventually. It’s a relaxed pace of life in this part of Kerala. Usually, there is a breeze coming from the coast in the evening which makes the walk home much nicer after a long day.
