Aitken Travels

We are over in Munirka at House No. 50, near Chaudhary Mange Ram’s place. If you know this part of Delhi, you know it is a bit of a maze with all the houses tucked away in the lanes. Aitken Travels is basically just a few of us working out of this space. We spend a lot of our time checking flight schedules on the computer or filling out paperwork. It is not a big corporate setup with a fancy receptionist at the front. Usually, someone is just sitting there with a bunch of files and a cup of tea. The street outside is always busy with people walking to the main market area. We have some old posters of different countries on the walls, but they have started to fade a bit over the years. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going at full speed all day long. People come in mostly because they live in the neighborhood or someone told them we could help with their travel plans. We don’t have a fancy website, we just handle the bookings and make sure the papers are right. It is a simple business, and we like it that way. Sometimes the traffic in Delhi makes it hard for people to reach us, but we are usually here until late evening anyway. It is just a regular local spot for travel help.
