Our office is located in Shalimar Bagh at Mig Flat No. 47-D in Block-Cb. It might seem a bit strange to have an office for the airports authority in a residential flat but it works for us. We handle a lot of the administrative side of things from here. There is always a lot of paperwork to go through because running airports is a huge job. We don’t have any fancy posters or airport models on the walls. It’s just desks computers and stacks of documents. Shalimar Bagh is a relatively quiet area which helps when we need to concentrate on the numbers and the schedules. We aren't trying to sell anything to anyone so we don't bother with marketing or sounding important. We just show up and do the work that needs to be done to keep things moving in the sky. Some of us have been working here for decades and we’ve seen how much the industry has changed. The flat is a bit older and the windows rattle when the wind picks up but it’s a good place to work. We don’t get many visitors here unless it’s for official business. Most of our day is spent on the phone or emailing other departments. It’s a steady job with a lot of responsibility and we just take it one day at a time. No bells or whistles just the daily grind of keeping things organized.
